Chapter 12: “London” “Disillusionment of Ten O’Clock” “Fire and Ice” “Bilingual/ Bilingue”
Blog: Select a song that you enjoy and find particularly evocative of an experience/emotion (remember, this doesn’t have to be a heavy subject)

post the lyrics and a link to a video or sound file if possible

Repeat our in-class exercise: Try paraphrasing the song (not a summary, but a rephrasing of the contents into prose). Explain what you think the song is doing; in other words, what is its message? Why use this approach to convey it? What words and images seem particularly important within the poems? What is the tone of the song?

Print out the song lyrics and bring to class*
